The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi was formally inaugurated in 1961. It offers undergraduate and masters degrees, as well as doctoral programmes and continuing education in the fields of applied science and engineering. The Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, just one of three externally funded ‘schools of excellence’ based on the university’s Hauz Khas campus, offers an MBA. The institute is home to nearly 6,000 students, around half of whom are enrolled on undergraduate courses.
