US firms Vanguard, Pimco and BlackRock are among the best-paying asset managers in the UK, beating their European counterparts by a considerable margin, according to research compiled by Ignites Europe.

Pimco shelled out on average 599,211 (?667,350) per employee in 2015, according to financial year-end accounts filed under Pimco Europe on Companies House, a UK government body. Included in that figure is a one-off bonus award of close to 100,000 to all employees, excluding directors.
