Tech? Start-Ups? No, Students Still Want Jobs at Goldman Sachs

Where do the majority of business-minded U.K. university students aspire to get a job? Surprise surprise? at Goldman Sachs. And it even beats their salary expectations. Despite growing talk of wannabe millionaires ditching Wall Street for tech firms, start-ups and private equity, a survey by London-based salary benchmarking site Emolument found that the most popular company among students remains the U.S. banking icon. Rival J.P. Morgan came second, followed by consultants KPMG and PwC and the world?s largest fund manager BlackRock.
