The world's 'most boring jobs' have been revealed

If you thought your job was dull, well, it might be - if it has made it onto this list, that is.

Stressful jobs are one thing, but feeling as though you are literally counting down the minutes of the day while the life slowly ebbs out your brain is another. Being bored really is worse than being busy.

And Emolument wanted to get to the bottom of the matter, surveying 1,300 professionals to find out the dullest day jobs around.

They spoke to professionals from 14 different sectors and found that legal professionals are the most down-trodden when it comes to their work, with 8 out of 10 people who work in law saying they find their job boring.

Accountants also feature in the list, with 67% of all people polled saying they found their job dull.

Here is the full list of the most boring jobs around, along with a percentage of exactly how many professionals in that sector find it mind-numbing.

1. Legal jobs (boring to 81% of professionals in that sector)

2. Project management (78%)

3. Support functions (71%)

4. Finance control (68%)

5. Consulting and accounting (67%)

6. Financial services and banking (67%)

7. Engineering (64%)

8. Sales (61%)

9. Marketing and communications (60%)

10. IT (56%)
