BT Group reaches for the Sky as it unveils £12.5bn bid for EE
The tectonic plates in the telecoms-media sector are moving rapidly. Today, BT will show its ambition when it unveils a £12.5billion bid for the mobile service EE having completed a rapid due diligence. Chief executive Gavin Patterson is determined that Britain?s former state-owned telephone company not be left behind as the grab for quad-play (TV, landlines, broadband and mobile) intensifies.
