Emolument Cookie Policy

We use cookies and similar tools across our websites to provide our visitors with a better user experience and improve our performance. This policy explains how we do that.

What are Cookies?

Cookies are very small text files which a website puts on your computer or mobile device when you first visit a site or page. Cookies will help Emolument and other websites do things like: recognise your device the next time you visit us; remember your preferences let you jump from one page to another without losing information and allow us to measure which products are most popular.

In other words, we use cookies to help you have a good experience using our website.

Certain cookies contain a bit of personal information. For example, if you click to ?remember me? when logging in, a cookie will store your Emolument username. Most cookies won?t collect information that identifies you, and will instead collect more general information such as how users arrive at and use our websites, or a user?s general location.

Before collecting any personally identifiable information through we will be clear to you that we are doing it (see our Privacy Policy).

Description of the types of cookies we use.

Essential Cookies are required for some parts of our website, such as the shopping baskets and payment, to work properly. If a visitor to our website opts to disable cookies, they will have difficulty or not be able to use parts of our site.

Performance Cookies collect information to analyse how visitors use our website (e.g. which pages are more popular, which products are more popular) and measure how well we are serving our visitors (e.g. how quickly are the pages appearing). We use this information to improve how our website works. These cookies do not collect personal information.

Functionality Cookies allow the website to remember visitor choices (e.g. what you've put in your shopping basket, save you the bother of typing your username every time you come to our site). These cookies do not collect personal information.

Web beacon pixel. Technically this is not a cookie but it behaves very similarly. We use this in our emails to tell us if they have been opened and measure clicks through to links with the email. We use the information collected to find out which of our emails and links within are more popular. The pixel will be deleted when you delete the email. If you do not wish the pixel to be downloaded to your device, you should select to receive emails from us in plain text rather than HTML.

Can I say "no" to cookies?

Of course you can! You will need to update the preferences on your browser--it's all explained here

However, please remember that if you choose not to use our cookies, you may not be able to take full advantage of what our website offers (and might even cause some things not to work).
