What university should you go to for the highest paid career in finance?

Oxford may have a reputation for churning out future prime ministers but people with a mind for finance are better off studying at Cambridge.

The average pay for analysts and associates, which usually covers the first five years of a career in banking, is £62,000 in the UK and Ireland, according to salary benchmarking company Emolument.com.

However, Cambridge graduates can expect to earn almost 50pc more than that, with a salary and bonus of £91,000.
