London Trading Bonuses Bounce Back in 2014

Across all titles this year's trading bonuses point to a strong 2014 season 


After a dip in 2013, Traders' pay packages are up in 2014 with median bonus numbers up 52% on 2013.


Associates saw the smallest uptick with a 10% increase, while the highest raise was for Directors, with the median bonus almost doubling from GBP106,000 to GBP200,000.


In terms of base salaries, we have observed a rise across all titles with the largest increase spotted at Managing Director level +15% yoy.

The 2014 bonus season has seen increases across a wide range of investment banking activities. Although much of the focus has been on the advisory businesses, driven by an increase in corporate activity, it appears that the trading divisions have also seen a significant rise in bonus payouts.
